GFH Capital Saudi Arabia is a closed joint stock company with a paid up capital of SR 20 million under commercial registration number 1010593423 and Unified Number 7015817849.

GFH Capital Saudi Arabia is licensed and regulated by the Capital Market Authority (CMA) to conduct securities business (license # 30-19200 on 12/05/2019). GFH Capital SA Commencement to provide arrangements and advisory services in securities. In 10/12/2020, GFH Capital SA obtained the license for investment management and operating funds.

H.E. Shaikh Ahmed Bin Khalifa Al Khalifa

H.E. Shaikh Ahmed Bin Khalifa Al Khalifa is a leading business figure in Bahrain who brings to the Group extensive experience in banking, public and private advisory, and key ministerial roles. He is currently the Chairman of GFH Capital and Vice Chairman of GFH Financial Group. Previously Shaikh Ahmed was the Advisor for Community Affairs at the Crown Prince Court (Rank of Minister) and for His Royal Highness the Crown Prince (Rank of Minister) (2009). He was also the Secretary General of Supreme Council for Defence (Rank of Minister) (2006) and served as the Kingdom of Bahrain’s ambassador to the United Arab Emirates during the period 2000 to 2006. Prior to these roles he was the Head of the Arab Banking Corporation (ABC) office in Abu Dhabi.

Hisham Alrayes

Hisham Alrayes is leading the GFH Financial Group forward towards its vision of becoming the region’s most prominent, diversified financial Group, and one that provides a remarkable platform for delivering superior Wealth Management, Commercial Banking and Asset Management services. With over 23 years of experience, Hisham brings extensive expertise and banking knowledge to the Group and was instrumental in driving the development and execution of the Group’s regional and international investment strategy. Hisham currently chairs and holds a number of directorships in financial, Industrial and real estate companies including Esterad Investment Company, Khaleeji Commercial Bank, GFH Capital and Infracorp.

Hisham holds a Master’s degree with honors in Business Administration from the University of DePaul, Chicago (USA), and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with honors from the University of Bahrain. In 2021, Hisham was ranked ‘One of the top listed CEOs’ in CEO Today Middle East Awards, ‘Best CEO in Investment Banking Sector-Bahrain 2021’ from the Global Economics. And during 2020, Hisham received ‘Banker of the Year’ in the MEA Finance Awards 2020 in recognition of his role in steering the Group’s diversification strategy which has seen the Group expand its business lines and geographic reach, while remaining resilient in the face of unprecedented market conditions. He was also ranked one of the top CEOs in Financial Services & Investments in 2019, and named ‘Investment Bank CEO of the Year’ at CEO Middle East 2019.

Salah Sharif

A key player in the strategic management of the Group’s core operational functions, Salah Sharif, Chief Operating Officer of GFH, is also responsible for ensuring the highest standards of operational excellence across the Group and its Special Purpose Vehicles and Project Companies. He has more than 30 years of regional and international exposure to conventional and Islamic banking and finance, with experience across commercial and wholesale banking and in industrial and infrastructure advisory sectors. In addition to his executive role at the Group, Salah also serves on a number of investee company boards. He is the Chairman of Falcon Cement Company, Vice Chairman of Infracorp and Vice Chairman of Gulf Holding Company, and a Board Member of Khaleeji Commercial Bank, GBCorp and CapCorp.

Prior to his current role in GFH, Salah was seconded as the CEO of Cemena Holding Company (CHC), an industrial subsidiary of the Group, one of the largest cement holding companies in the MENA region. Previously, he held a number of senior roles in leading, global financial institutions, including American Express and Standard Chartered Bank where he held key executive positions.

Salah holds an MBA from the University of South Wales, UK. And most recently, he completed the Senior Executive Leadership Program offered by Harvard Business School, Boston, USA.

With over 11 years of experience in the field of investment, Business & finance, Mr. Mohammed Al Rashed is an Executive Officer at Rashed Abdul Rahman Al Rashed & Sons Group.

Mr. Al Rashed is the Chairman of Food Capital and a board member at Khaleeji Commercial Bank, Orange Gas Station, Tamkin Non-Profit Organisation and Wahj Holding.

Mr. Al Rashed is a holder of Bachelor of Science, International Business and Entrepreneurship from Fairleigh Dickinson University – Vancouver Canada.

Mr. Alageel is the budget controller at Jarir Marketing responsible for designing effective budget models for departments and the entire company.

He previously worked for Credit Suisse, HSBC and has more than 12 years of experience in a variety of industries spanning from banking, fashion and apparel and food & beverage, he is the founder and MD of Shawarmix.

Mr. Alageel holds a BSc. Degree in Business Administration (Finance and Marketing) from American University of Sharjah.

Razi Almurbati

Razi Almerbati is the CEO of GFH Capital S.A. and the Group Co-IPT Head of Placement & Relationship Management at GFH Financial Group. He brings to his role more than 15 years of experience in the banking and finance sector including a significant track record in Islamic investments and advisory. His areas of expertise include private banking and wealth management as well as private equity.

Prior to joining GFH, Razi most recently served as Head of Investment Development & Distribution for the GCC region at The First Investor in Qatar, a subsidiary of Barwa Bank. Prior to that, he was Regional Director of the Investment Advisory Group of Abu Dhabi Investment House.

Razi currently holds Board Memberships in the following Companies:

Khaled Basri is a Head of Asset Management Department at GFH Capital SA. He to joining the company in 2021.

Khaled served most recently as Executive Director at GFH Financial Group. Previously, he was an Executive Director and Member of the Investment Committee at ADCORP. Prior to that, he was a Senior Vice President, Client Coverage & Investment Banking at ADS Securities and a Senior Manager of Investments at Baniyas Investment & Development Company.  Khaled has also held a number of other investment roles at European Islamic Investment Bank Plc and Esterad Investment Company BSC.

Khaled is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds an Undergraduate (Honours) Degree from Northumbria University, Newcastle in Management (Newcastle Business School).

Ahmed Alkhalili is the CFO at GFH Capital SA. He to joining the company in 2021

Ahmed has over 20 years of experience in financial and non-financial sectors. He has a distinguished track record of bridging the gap between business, strategy and finance. He has special expertise in building out the finance business support capabilities in companies with significant operating scale and complexity to pursue their aggressive growth strategy and meet their clients and investors’ expectations.

Prior to Joining GFH Capital SA, Ahmed was a Finance Director at GFH Financial Group and prior to that, he was the Head of Finance at Itqan Capital.

Saud Alarifi is the Head of Compliance and Anti-Money Laundering at GFH Capital Saudi Arabia. He joined the company in 2020.

Prior to joining GFH Saudi Arabia, Saud worked as a compliance officer at Sulaiman Al Rajhi Holding Company. Previously, he was the Head of the Compliance at the Saudi Venture Capital. Saud also held a number of other positions at Middle East Financial Investment Company, BMG Financial Company and Elm Company.

Saud is certified compliance officer (CCO) and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from King Abdulaziz University and a Master’s degree in Organizational Communication from Bowie State University in the United States of America.

Mohamed Khalifa is the Head of Advisory of GFH Capital S.A. He brings to his role more than 15 years of experience in the investment banking and retail banking sectors.

Prior to joining GFH Capital S.A., Mohamed was a Senior Director – Placement & Relationship Management for GFH Financial Group. Mohamed also held a position as Investment Advisor in Takaud Savings and Pensions, as well as positions in Ithmaar Bank and HSBC Bank.

Mohamed holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Financial Services from Bradford University in the United Kingdom.

Mohamed is also a certified Series 7 license holder, with expertise in securities trading, wealth management, investment risk and equity.
