Razi Almerbati is the CEO of GFH Capital S.A. and the Group Chief Placement Officer, Placement & Relationship Management at GFH Financial Group. He brings to his role more than 15 years of experience in the banking and finance sector including a significant track record in Islamic investments and advisory. His areas of expertise include private banking and wealth management as well as private equity.

Prior to joining GFH, Razi most recently served as Head of Investment Development & Distribution for the GCC region at The First Investor in Qatar, a subsidiary of Barwa Bank. Prior to that, he was Regional Director of the Investment Advisory Group of Abu Dhabi Investment House.

Razi currently holds Board Memberships in the following Companies:

Riyaz is responsible for driving the company’s financial planning and analysis, management of its cash and liquidity risk, and the company’s internal and external compliance and related policies.

He brings more than 20 years of experience to GFH Capital in the areas of banking, finance, MIS, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and audit.

Prior to joining GFH Capital, Riyaz was Director – Budgeting & Management Reporting at SNB Capital Company and previously spent seven years at Samba Capital & Investment Management Co., where he recently served as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to these roles in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, he held a number of senior positions in banking, finance, and audit in India. These include Assistant Vice President at IndoStar Capital Finance and Head of Operations at ICICI Home Finance, amongst others.

He has a Bachelor’s in Commerce from Nagarjuna University, India and is also a CFA Charter holder from the Chartered Financial Analysts Institute, USA, a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, and a Cost and Management Accountant from the Institute of Cost Accountants of India.

Mohamed Khalifa is the Head of Advisory of GFH Capital S.A. He brings to his role more than 15 years of experience in the investment banking and retail banking sectors.

Prior to joining GFH Capital S.A., Mohamed was a Senior Director – Placement & Relationship Management for GFH Financial Group. Mohamed also held a position as Investment Advisor in Takaud Savings and Pensions, as well as positions in Ithmaar Bank and HSBC Bank.

Mohamed holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Financial Services from Bradford University in the United Kingdom.

Mohamed is also a certified Series 7 license holder, with expertise in securities trading, wealth management, investment risk and equity.

Fahad AlAnazi is the Head of Asset Management of GFH Capital, where he is responsible for managing the company’s investment funds and portfolios, developing and implementing its investment strategies and overseeing execution of transactions as well as the company’s Saudi-based investment team.

He brings to his role nearly two decades of experience in investment management, capital markets, treasury and research having worked at a number of top-tier Saudi banks and financial institutions.

Prior to joining GFH Capital, Fahad was at AlBilad Capital, where he most recently served as Head of Asset Management. Previously, he was the Head of Fixed Income and Money Markets at Alisthmar Capital, where he held a number of senior roles over his nine years with the company. Prior to that, Fahad was a Manager in the Investment Section at SABB Takaful and began his career at Al Rajhi Bank as a Dealer- Treasury Department-Sales Desk.

Fahad holds a Bachelor in Accounting from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder from the CFA Institute, USA, has completed the Value Investing: Making Intelligent Investment Decisions certification from Columbia Business School Executive Education, and is a CME-1 holder from the Capital Market Authority, Saudi Arabia.

Tarik Alsugair is the Head of Compliance at GFH Capital. He is responsible for overseeing and managing compliance issues for all of GFH Capital’s businesses, in addition to playing an advisory role to various GFH Capital businesses, committees, the Board of Directors, and affiliates.

He is a qualified compliance professional and brings to his role at GFH Capital more than fifteen years of experience in the regulatory and governance fields.

Tarik is also responsible for improving the compliance culture and ensuring adherence to laws, policies and procedures, and managing regulatory risk to protect the firm’s capital, investments, reputation, and clients.

Prior to joining GFH Capital, Tarik was at Alrajhi Capital, where he served as Head of Compliance, subsequently as the Director of Governance, and board secretary. He was a key member of several committees, including the Investment Committee, New Business Development Committee, Credit and Limit Committee, and Internal Control Committee, and played a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the company. Before that, Tarik had worked for the Capital Market Authority, where he served in the authorization and subsequently in the inspection.

Tarik holds an MBA from Missouri State University, a Bachelor degree in Accounting from King Saud University, and executive certifications from several international institutions. Additionally, he holds CME-1, CME-2, and CME-3 certificates from the Capital Market Authority.
