In line with its vision to invest in innovation and growth and to capitalise on secular trends in digital adoption, GFH was able to substantially grow its existing technology portfolio, comprising of investments in a portfolio of pre-IPO stage, high-growth companies that specialise in next-gen technologies.

The companies operate in some of the most disruptive tech sub-sectors that are benefiting from secular trends in digital adoption – such as cloud and enterprise software, cybersecurity, FinTech, mental health, e-commerce, and mobile gaming. Its investments in seasoned & emerging market leaders and niche spaces align with prevailing interest in global digitalisation.

Among its portfolio of rapid-growth companies, GFH alongside its strategic partners made its first technology investment in July 2018, with a $150 million deal to buy a controlling stake in the Entertainer, a leading mobile commerce destination for dining, travel, lifestyle and live entertainment experiences across 15 countries within the Middle East, Asia and Africa.
