Tarik Alsugair Head of Compliance
Tarik Alsugair is the Head of Compliance at GFH Capital. He is responsible for overseeing and managing compliance issues for all of GFH Capital’s businesses, in addition to playing an advisory role to various GFH Capital businesses, committees, the Board of Directors, and affiliates.
He is a qualified compliance professional and brings to his role at GFH Capital more than fifteen years of experience in the regulatory and governance fields.
Tarik is also responsible for improving the compliance culture and ensuring adherence to laws, policies and procedures, and managing regulatory risk to protect the firm’s capital, investments, reputation, and clients.
Prior to joining GFH Capital, Tarik was at Alrajhi Capital, where he served as Head of Compliance, subsequently as the Director of Governance, and board secretary. He was a key member of several committees, including the Investment Committee, New Business Development Committee, Credit and Limit Committee, and Internal Control Committee, and played a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the company. Before that, Tarik had worked for the Capital Market Authority, where he served in the authorization and subsequently in the inspection.
Tarik holds an MBA from Missouri State University, a Bachelor degree in Accounting from King Saud University, and executive certifications from several international institutions. Additionally, he holds CME-1, CME-2, and CME-3 certificates from the Capital Market Authority.
